Praise names for Olorun/Olodumare/Olofin

Thanks to extant literature from Yoruba scholars we have been able to enjoy the ability to refer to God by his many names and titles. I doubt any one of us knows them all, but I thought it might be a nice idea to share the names of God, (Olodumare/Olorun/Olofin) that we do know.

Here are a few of the ones that I learned and use in both my mojuba and other prayers.

What other praise names do you use to address Olodumare/Olofin/Olorun in your worship?

Praise names for Olorun/Olodumare/Olofin

-Alabosudaye (Extensive Protector of the Earth)

-Elemi (Owner of breath)
-Olojo Oni (Owner of this day)
-Oyigiyigi ota aiku (The immovable stone that does not die)

just came across this site.its wonderful! i truly believe that praise in one’s own language is actually a high praise. He who placed me in my family, country, race, tribe etc did not consult me in these matters yet it pleased him to put me here, and HE MUST have equipped me for such a life.hence there’s something edifying about native praise.there are native words i cant translate yet speaking those words to Him give me goosebumps.i feel the meaning within me.e.g. the translation above of ‘OYOGIYIGI’is,though a good attempt, weak.lets praise Him in Tounges….Yoruba Tongues. pls send anything youve got on my native praise to my box.i’ll be most grateful.e se
