First of all, Que la paz de Dios quede entre todos ustedes.
To surmiss Mesa Blanca to you, it is more of a seances in essence.
Allan Kardec who lived in France was one of the greatest mediums in Mesa Blanca. There are books that can be read about him. Very informative.
In Mesa Blanca a group of well developed mediums unite with the items placed on a white table cloth, candles, flowers, holy water, crucifix, or rosary, book of prayers, perfumes, florida water and of course the main bowl filled with water to give evidencias (messages) from our spiritual guides. Some Mesa blancas use more than this, but if the mediums are very gifted, it does not take much to get the misa going.
It is practiced largely in Puerto Rico, however, I myself was born and raised here in New York and as a child my mother and grandmother took me to these Mesa Blancas, (of which I had already been born with the gift) and I was developed by the time I was 8.
The seances which I experienced were of great magnitude and the mediums which worked back then are on the other side now. They were older, wiser, very respected cabesera de la mesa, head of the table. I do not see much of Mesa blancas anymore, however, I have maintained that custom.
You should seek out a good medium (which is hard to do these days). You may want to find one your travels in Puerto Rico.
I hope this has answered your inquiry. But feel free to post here and I will give you my honest and knowledgeable answers for this type of spritualism practice.
Mesa Blanca is so beautiful as I have witnessed loved ones come and talk to their relatives and this is the greatest gift of all.
Luz y Progresso para todos sus cuardros espirituales.
